CLASS OVERVIEW

Do you remember those ads for mosquito repellant, the moment you apply the cream, it creates an armour which no mosquito can cross?

Now think about your everyday life. Monday to Friday we battle assignments, class bullies, people who talk nonsensical gossip all day. Or if you're employed, the script is boring colleagues, demanding boss, never ending work and crazy stress. There should be something that protects our sanity, our intelligence, our curiosity from all this, right? That kind of weekly recharging of the brain is CHYK class. That's our safety armour.

If you think a spiritual discussion is going to be one person saying some shlokas, and you drowsing off to sleep trying to listen to him, you are in for a surprise. Enter a chyk class and you'll find - one knowledgeable, enthusiastic facilitator (called Sevak), a bunch of curious, open-minded youth (collegians, corporate folks, some married, some not) and an ancient text that would be relevant even today, after thousands of years. Fiery discussions, different perspectives, myths shattered and valuable lessons learnt. That is a chyk class. If you want to join one, pick one from below which is happening closest to you.

Study Scheme

The weekly discussion groups, called CHYK Classes, are based on a systematic syllabus designed keeping youth psychology in mind. This syllabus was originally created by Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, and later modified and implemented more widely by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda (Global Head-Chinmaya Mission).

These discussions are maintained on the basis of certain text-books. The group takes up each topic in the book, and discusses it freely, thus churning their own understandings, in ways limited by nothing. This has been found to be one of the most effective methods of systematic and clear understanding.
